I am 60 year old & I am a Change Maker

  • I started Ad-hoc engagement sessions with kids at temple, function or aaradhana where I go.

  • Basically I ask following questions for boys

    • Do you perform Sandhyavandana? ( 2 times, 3 times or at least 1 time )

    • Do you have a Guru introduced by your parents? If not why not have a Guru?

    • How many times you go to temple in a week?

    • What all stotras or mantras you learned or learning?

  • For Girls

    • Do you perform Mouna Gowri Vrata?

    • Do you know how to put Rangoli?

    • What mantras you are learning?

    • Who is your Guru?

    • You may look nice if you apply Bindi / Kunkum

Then, I appreciate them, respect their response without feeling negative, avoid my mobile screen time, may be some time I pull out a small gift item I started taking to these public events just to appreciate kids and engage them.

Popular Quote

Effective conversations are not just about the
questions you ask. They’re about the
discussion and insights the questions spark.

Shibira

I am Shibira Facilitator & I am a Change Maker

  • We started making Shibira as place of Transformation in kids vs. just an event

  • Started Engagement with parents to draw what is that they want as take away

    • We never wanted parents to send kids just because they may sit idle at home

    • We never wanted kids to be sent just because casually event can be attended or skipped as its free

    • We stopped doing Shibira for the shake of just doing it

  • Goals are clearly set

    • We set what a kid should take away from Shibira from Culture, learning, adoption, inspired, define good habits to follow

    • Parents were asked for the areas where their kids needs special hand holding and related experts were invited for Shibira

    • We started for delivering a value to society through Shibira than just a big gathering of kids.

I am Temple & I am a Change Maker

  • First I as a temple understand that i am public property and not private property

  • I agree at lotus feet of Lord that i will use public money for only essential repairs and not building and re-building again and again.

  • I will offer free Anna-Daana to all Madhwas without any condition applied ( by providing such Teerth-Prasada, I can make their food clean and help them to worship GOD )

  • I will help all madhwas surrounding me to get facility used for various dharmik purposes

  • I will never demand for Gold/Silver/Diamond/Plaster of Paris materials as one day these may be grabbed by Govt or thieves, rather i would like to invest this money on growing my community around me.

  • I want a prayer hall always, where people come and do meditation without any sound issues.

  • I dont want to become a hotel, 5-star lodge - rather stay as open to air temple

  • All aaradhana, events that happen in my premise should engage people to perform Dharma than just coming for Bhojana...
